In order to combat the dual crises of poverty and the devastation of Haiti’s natural environment, KONPAY will work to build:

• A national grassroots-based coalition that advocates with local and national governemnt, monitors international aid and any funds saved through debt cancellation, collaborates towards common goals, holds regional meetings and an annual national meeting and is integrated into regional and international movements for the environment.
• A web-based information clearinghouse that is a place for meeting and discussion, where one can find information during severe weather and a list of best practices for the environment.
• A well-funded national program focused on massive, intensive reforestation and replacing charcoal as the main cooking fuel.
